CONCUSSIONS & PTSD

A concussion is a head injury caused by moving forces such as a bump, blow, or jolt to the head. A concussion is a form of a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and in fact is the most common traumatic brain injury. Working with concussing symptoms from a trauma perspective utilizing Somatic Experiencing and BASE (Body And Somatic Education), a touch training for trauma practitioners, can dramatically help the healing and change the symptoms by working with the autonomic shock and dysregulation (PTSD) and structural shock caused by the injury to the brain.

Somatic Experiencing is developed and founded by Dr. Peter Levine and BASE is developed and founded by Dave Berger. For more information, please visit www.traumahealing.org and www.daveberger.net
