This is a field where we are trying to help people and sometimes people do things because it’s just their jobs and some people do it because they have a real desire to help people – with Priscilla (TPS in the Bay Area) it’s the desire to help. I have worked with her for a few years, and I know I can trust her. – Annia Raysberg, MA, MFT, Licensed Psychotherapist
How did you navigate higher levels of care before working with TPS?
It really depended on the client, some people I just gave them referrals to places that I already knew, or sometimes I would reach out on some kind of forum. At the end of the day, I had to do all the leg work myself and I didn’t really have a partner helping me with placement.
What Has Your Experience Been Working with the TPS Team?
I would certainly recommend her – in fact, I have recommended her to clients and colleagues. It is so much easier now when I have someone who needs a higher level of care. Whereas before I would feel lost on which treatment center was right for them, who would take their insurance and so on, and now I can call Priscilla. She’s great – very punctual, consistent, and personable so I feel comfortable with her. She knows what she’s doing and she responds really quickly which is great – we can text and it’s really just, well, easy. The window to get people into treatment sometimes can be small, so it’s important she is responsive.
What would you say to someone who is not using a TPS for their caseloads?
It’s been so helpful to have someone like her who can focus on the treatment research and placements, making the phone calls and taking a lot of that time off of my plate – it’s only a positive thing! She truly decides what the best match is for the person and I would highly recommend her because she’s a great resource.
One more thing I want to add – with Priscilla, I feel like she really cares about my clients. It’s not just a job, it’s a sense of meaning for her and I think that goes a long way. People feel that, and I can certainly feel that.
